The Westminster Griffins suffered their first loss of the 2008 season behind a 1-0 loss to Biola in California on Friday night. Westminster falls to 3-1-1 on the year after failing to find the back of the net on any of the 10 shots they attempted.

Marco Ruvalcaba beat Westminster keeper Val Campbell in the 54th minute to earn the win for Biola. Campbell finished the night with six saves. Matt Smith, Cameron Wynhof, and Andrew Tovstein all recorded two shots to lead all Griffins. The game had a total of 35 fouls called and three yellow cards.

Westminster concludes the road trip with a game against Soka on Saturday afternoon.
