Box Score GREAT FALLS, Mont. - The first Frontier Conference road match of the season was too much for the Westminster Griffins on Thursday night. Great Falls used balanced offensive attack and great defense to hand the Griffins a 3-0 loss in the McLaughlin Center. The loss drops the Griffins to 2-8 on the season and 2-1 in the Frontier Conference.
Great Falls won by scores of 25-9, 25-19, 25-23.
Ali Culp and
Janelle Kendall led the Griffins with six kills each. Culp also added 12 digs. Great Falls recorded 90 digs while hitting .204 in the match to keep Westminster at bay. The Griffins managed to hit just .028 for the match and were negative .103 in set one.
Leigha Dangerfield handed out 20 assists and snagged 13 digs, her third consecutive double-double.
Westminster concludes the road trip on Saturday, September 20 when they face Montana State-Northern. The match in Havre, Montana is slated for 7 p.m.
