Grant Brobeck

Grant joined Westminster University in 2024 as the Assistant Coach for Men’s and Women’s Cross Country and Track & Field. Beginning in the 2025–26 season, he will transition to focusing on his expertise with sprinters, hurdlers, jumpers and relays as the Assistant Track & Field Coach.

In his first year with the program, the Griffins broke seven school records and achieved 84 new top-10 performances. Under his guidance, Westminster also qualified the largest number of athletes in program history for the outdoor RMAC championships.

Before coming to Westminster, Grant coached at a successful high school program in Portland, Oregon. During his two-year tenure, his athletes earned over a dozen medals at the Oregon State Track & Field Championships, including multiple individual state titles.
Grant also gained collegiate coaching experience as an intern at Lewis & Clark College, where he contributed to a cross country program that qualified two athletes for the NCAA Division III National Championships.

A former collegiate sprinter and cross country runner, Grant brings firsthand competitive insight to his coaching. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Pacific University and a master’s degree in Applied Physiology and Kinesiology from the University of Florida. He is a USATF Level 1 certified coach and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS), blending technical expertise with a holistic approach to athlete development.
