Lindsey Calvin was named Westminster University's head volleyball coach in February 2026, after previously serving as a volunteer assistant coach for the program from September to November 2025.
Calvin spent two seasons as an assistant coach at Seattle Pacific University (SPU) from June 2022 to April 2024, guiding the team to a 22-5 record in 2023 and the program's first GNAC championship since 2011. She was named 2023 GNAC Coaching Staff of the Year. At SPU, Calvin worked primarily with middles and opposites, including GNAC Player of the Year and AVCA Second Team All-American Hannah Hair. Calvin's defensive scouting and in-match tactics helped SPU finish second nationally among NCAA Division II programs in blocks per set, with Hair leading all Division II players at 1.63 blocks per set. She also served as a volunteer assistant coach at SPU from August to December 2021, a season in which the team finished sixth nationally with 2.63 blocks per set.
Calvin coached beach volleyball as an assistant at Saint Mary's College of California (SMC) from January to May 2022 and received the 2022 AVCA Thirty Under 30 Beach Award. She also coached at Park City Juniors from February to May 2025.
As a player, Calvin competed on the FIVB Beach World Tour from April 2024 to May 2025, representing the United States in tournaments across Europe and Asia and finishing fifth in Nuvali, Philippines, in May 2025. From August 2019 to April 2021, she played professional indoor volleyball as a starting opposite for Genève Volley in Switzerland's NLA and Liigaploki Pihtipudas in Finland's Mestaruusliiga, earning multiple Player of the Match honors.
Calvin was a four-year starter at Saint Mary's College of California from 2015 to 2019, leading the indoor team to a 19-win season and an NCAA Tournament appearance in 2018. She also competed on courts two, three and four for the nationally ranked beach program, earning 2019 West Coast Conference (WCC) Second Team honors in beach volleyball. Calvin was named to the WCC All-Academic First Team in indoor volleyball in 2016, 2017 and 2018, and in beach volleyball in 2018 and 2019.
Calvin holds a Master of Education in Athletic Leadership from the University of Washington (2022), where she received the Faculty Merit Award and served as graduation keynote speaker. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Saint Mary's College of California (2019), graduating summa cum laude as an NCAA Division I athlete.
