Karlie Johnson is from North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania, and attended Norwin High School, where she earned the 2025 Varsity Leadership Award, achieved perfect attendance in 2022/2023, served as a two-year varsity captain in both lacrosse and field hockey, was a four-year varsity starter in both sports, earned a 2023 WPIAL District 7 Honorable Mention, First Team WPIAL District 7 honors in both 2024 and 2025, an All-Section selection in 2025, and was named 2026 Offensive Player of the Year and First Team WPIAL in 2026.

She is majoring in Sports Management with a minor in Justice Studies. Johnson chose Westminster for its small-school feel, personal class sizes, proximity to skiing and hiking and the city, and the opportunity to play at the Division II level.
