Coach Comments: Matt is a transfer student with extensive lacrosse experience and will figure prominently in our offense this year. After the fall season he was selected by his peers as the Offensive Co-Captain for the spring.  It's fun to watch his Lax IQ spread to other players who didn't play the game at as competitive a level in their scholastic days.  This is a player to watch when he doesn’t have the ball as well as when he does.

Before Westminster: Played his high school lacrosse at Dulaney High School … played two years of JV … served as team captain one season … pulled up on the varsity  during the teams loss in state semi finals … played varsity as a junior and senior …  won the Maryland State Championship in 2008 … named MVP and All-Metro Honorable Mention in Baltimore during his senior year … spent his next year playing at a top junior college program, Essex  CC of  Baltimore County.

Personal: Son of Bill and Annette Hearn … grew up in Baltimore, Md.
