Biography
Coach Comments: Jake is the most impressive athlete on the team. With one of the fastest shots on the team this year, he will figure prominently in our offense and see time on the extra man offense squad. We will be looking to him for leadership and offense this season.
Sophomore Year (2011): Played in 18 games as a midfielder...collected 31 ground balls...scored 38 goals... had four assists … scored 6 goals to help the Griffins secure their first win of the season against Cal State Fullerton (2/19) … was named RMLC Third Team All-Conference.
Freshman Year (2010): Appeared in 13 games as a midfielder ... collected 21 ground balls ... scored 15 goals ... tallied one assist … scored four goals in the Griffins win over Western Washington (2/20).
Before Westminster: Attended Bingham High School … played at varsity level all four seasons … played at both middie and face-off specialist … was team’s leading scorer in three seasons … led team in ground balls during three years … finished with a 66.9% face-off win percentage … served as team captain during sophomore, junior and senior years … named All-Conference as a sophomore … was Second Team All-State as a junior … during senior season was a unanimous selection First Team All-State selection … was twice named Top 11 at BYU Lacrosse Camp.
Personal: Born on September 24, 1991 to Rob and Lisa Arthur … graduated with a Magna Cum Laude and is currently enlisted in Army ROTC … he is majoring in Biology.
