Reed Goodhue

Reed Goodhue joins the Griffins after serving as the volunteer assistant coach at his alma mater, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, under Coach Greg Cannella. During the 2016 season, Goodhue worked primarily with the Minutemen goalies and defense, but he also spent some time on the offensive side of the field as the coach of the offensive scout team. 

Goodhue is 2014 graduate of UMass where he majored in Sport Management.  He was a four-year goalie for the Minutemen.  During his sophomore season, the Minutemen finished the regular season undefeated and ranked Number One in Division One.  In his senior year, he was elected Co-captain by his teammates.  He also received the Eric Sopracasa Award as the heart and soul of the Minuteman team.  As a senior, he was named to the Colonial Athletic Association All-Academic Team and was named a New England Lacrosse Association Senior Scholar.

Following graduation in 2014, Goodhue traveled to Melbourne, Australia where he played and coached for Camberwell Lacrosse Club.  He starred for the Camberwell State League team and was named “Best and Fairest” as the MVP of that team which competes in the highest competitive league in Australia.

Goodhue is a native of Topsfield, Massachusetts.  He was a three sport Captain at Masconomet Regional High School where he starred in lacrosse for Coach Tom Cobb.  As a senior, he led the Chieftains to the quarterfinals of the Massachusetts Division One State Championship and an 18-4 record.  He was selected to the all-league and all regional teams.  He is the son of Robert and Jeananne Goodhue who reside in Topsfield.
