Biography

Freshman Eric Mellmer enters Westminster after a long basketball and XC career with Sandy, Utah’s Waterford Ravens. While executing b-ball and harrier duties with the Ravens, Eric maintained High Honors with a 3.9 GPA, and consequently joined the Westminster Dean’s List upon his earliest opportunity. At 6’4”, the lanky English major will curtail his basketball exploits to the hobby phase for his stint at Westminster, and the distance runner will add indoor and outdoor track to his ongoing XC exploits for the Griffins. Sister Alyssa and parents Carol and Joe continue to enjoy Eric’s piano prowess as the long-limbed frosh can stretch a chord pounding the keyboards, and looks to raise the Griffin track team an octave pounding the hardboards.
