Amico begins his fourth season as an assistant coach for the Westminster men's basketball program in 2022-23. He joined the staff prior to the 2019-20 season, bringing years of experience in player development with coaching positions at the AAU, high school, collegiate, and professional basketball.
Prior to Westminster, Amico was a video coordinator and special assistant to the head coach at Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah. At UVU, Amico was a part of a staff that hit several program milestones including a program-best 25 wins in 2018-19. The 25-win season also marked the first back-to-back seasons with 20 or more wins in the program's history. With Amico on the staff, the Wolverines also had the highest team GPA of any NCAA Division I men's basketball program and saw the nation's largest three-year leap in the KenPom.com rankings, jumping from No. 343 in 2015-16 to No. 91 the end of 2017-18.
Amico has added professional basketball experience, working with the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, and has also previously spent time as an assistant with the Nevada Desert Dogs of the NAPB.
Prior to his time at the collegiate and professional levels, Amico helped lead Pine View High School to region and state championships. As he led 24/7 Hoops, an AAU program in Las Vegas, he helped 78 student-athletes receive college scholarship offers.
Amico is a 2016 graduate of Dixie State University where he graduated with a bachelor's degree in mass communication. A native of Las Vegas, Amico and his wife Jennifer have three sons, Trey, Landon, Chase, and one daughter, Luci.
