- Born October 2, 1999, his parents are Espen and Sissel Solbakken.  He has two siblings, Marius and Mathilde, and enjoys ski touring, golfing and tennis outside of skiing.
- Mikkel also grew up windsurfing and sailing and is majoring in both finance and comuter information systems at Westminster.
