Game Breakdown

First Quarter

Westminster wasted no time setting the tone, scoring six unanswered goals to open the game. Jessie Giacomazzi got things started at 12:34 assisted by Lilliana Montano, followed by Holly Shoughro, Grace Szwedko twice — the second on a man-up assisted by Jordan Williamson — and Montano twice in quick succession to go up 6-0. William Jewell responded with back-to-back goals from Kuepper Trinkel and Elle Eastwood on a man-up free-position shot to cut it to 6-2, before Holly Shoughro closed the quarter with a free-position goal to send Westminster into the second up 7-2. Westminster dominated with 13 shots and 9 shots on goal in the period.

Second Quarter

Westminster extended the lead early with Lex Olsen's first goal of the season, assisted by Grace Szwedko, to make it 8-2. William Jewell answered with a goal from Elle Eastwood to cut it to 8-3, before Jordan Williamson struck twice unassisted to push the Griffins' lead to 10-3 at halftime. Sienna Garcia made 1 save in goal over her 30 minutes of work in the first half.

Third Quarter

Westminster continued to pour it on in the third, outscoring William Jewell 6-2. Lilliana Montano opened the scoring, followed by a man-up goal from Kiarra Clarin assisted by Olivia Petrosky, Petrosky herself assisted by Jadyn Kohan, a man-up free-position goal from Jordan Williamson, a man-up goal from Ava Deakins assisted by Williamson, and Lexi Segaline's man-down goal assisted by Deakins to push the lead to 16-5. William Jewell scored twice on man-up opportunities — Toryn Podschwit to open the quarter and Ella Childress late — to account for their scoring in the period. Kaitlyn Parish took over in goal to start the third quarter.

Fourth Quarter

Westminster closed out the game with four more goals. Holly Shoughro opened with a man-down goal at 14:46, followed by Jordan Williamson on a man-up assisted by Holly Shoughro, Holly Shoughro again assisted by Williamson, and Olivia Petrosky assisted by Williamson to make the final 20-7. William Jewell added two more man-up goals from Elysa Atkinson and Kaylee Gross. Parish made 1 save in her 30 minutes of work.
