Westminster men's basketball dropped a 91–76 RMAC road contest Thursday night at Adams State, trailing 45–34 at halftime before scoring 42 points in the second half.
Colin Hayes and Michael Fraizer paced the Griffins with 20 points each. Hayes finished 6–16 from the field, 2–5 from three, and 6–8 at the free-throw line, while adding 5 rebounds. Fraizer went 7–13, pulled down a team-high 10 rebounds, and added 3 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal.
Cole Kadoguchi contributed 14 points on 6–10 shooting, and Boston Painter added 7 points off the bench. Jake Nadauld recorded 10 rebounds and 7 assists as Westminster totaled 45 rebounds and only 12 assists.
The Griffins shot 43.5% (27–62) from the field but were hurt by 21 turnovers, which Adams State converted into 21 points. Westminster moves to 6–7 overall and 1–4 in RMAC play following the loss.
