SALT LAKE CITY – The Griffins came out swinging on Saturday night, taking the first set against No. 5 Metropolitan State University of Denver before the nationally ranked Roadrunners rallied to secure a 3–1 win (23–25, 25–20, 25–16, 25–15) inside Behnken Field House.
Westminster totaled 41 kills in the match, with Mailei Myers, Breegan Huntsman, and Sadie Parrish each finishing with nine to lead the attack. Setter Atley Mitchell posted 20 assists and 11 digs for a double-double, while libero Ava Livolsi collected a team-high 15 digs. The Griffins also tallied four service aces and two blocks on the night.
Now 8-4 overall and 2-2 in RMAC play, Westminster will turn its attention to next week's conference road tests.
