SALT LAKE CITY – Westminster volleyball dropped a three-set match to UCCS on Friday evening inside Behnken Field House, falling 25-17, 25-20, and 25-22.

The Griffins held close in several statistical categories, finishing with 29 kills to UCCS's 36 and edging the Mountain Lions in digs, 53–52. However, UCCS found success offensively with a .211 hitting percentage, while Westminster was limited to .121.

Josie Gerritsen, Hailey Killett, and Apiline White each recorded six kills to lead the Westminster attack. Isabella DeAntoni chipped in the team's lone ace, while Mailei Myers and Killett anchored the net with four and two blocks, respectively. Gerritsen also led the team in digs with 12, supported by Ava Livolsi and Leila Cornejo with eight apiece.

With the result, Westminster moves to 8-3 overall and 2-1 in RMAC play. The Griffins are back in action tonight against No. 5 Metropolitan State University of Denver.
