Salt Lake City, UT – The Westminster Women's Basketball team secured a hard-fought 78-76 victory over Colorado School of Mines on Saturday afternoon, picking up a crucial RMAC win at Behnken Field House.
Westminster held off a late push by the Orediggers, using a strong first half to maintain their lead despite Mines' rally in the second. The Griffins shot 48.4% from the field and out-rebounded Mines 38-30, showing resilience down the stretch.
Griffin Standouts:
- Za'kkria Robinson led the way with 22 points on 8-of-13 shooting, adding four rebounds.
- Maunayia Harrigfeld recorded a double-double with 15 points, 11 rebounds, and four assists, while also tallying three blocks and two steals.
- Maia Rhay contributed 14 points and seven rebounds in a strong all-around performance.
- Teuila Nawahine added eight points and five rebounds, while Olivia Tausinga chipped in eight points and three steals.
Orediggers' Standouts:
- Jenna Siebert was on fire, scoring 31 points while hitting six three-pointers.
- Peyton Freiermuth was dominant inside with 20 points and five rebounds.
- Emma Sixta added eight points on an efficient 3-of-4 shooting.
