Alamosa, CO – The Westminster Men's Basketball team secured a thrilling 103-98 victory over Adams State in RMAC action on Saturday night. Chase Potter hit a clutch go-ahead bucket late in regulation, and the Griffins held strong on defense as the Grizzlies' last-second three-pointer came up short. This marks the third time this season Westminster has scored 100+ points in a game.
The Griffins showcased a well-rounded offensive performance, with seven players scoring in double figures:
Westminster shot an efficient 56.7% from the field, including 61.1% from beyond the arc (11-18). The Griffins also converted 84.2% from the free-throw line (16-19), sealing the win down the stretch.
Despite the loss, Adams State had several strong individual performances:
- Jude Tapia – 25 points, 5-11 3PT, 4 assists, 2 steals
- Luke Williams – 25 points, 8 rebounds, 2 three-pointers
- Jaylen Alexander – 11 points, 6 rebounds
- John Harge – 11 points, 2-3 3PT, 3 rebounds
The Grizzlies shot 50% from the field and 42.9% from three-point range but couldn't overcome Westminster's balanced attack.
