Westminster men's basketball fell 81–70 to MSU Denver on Saturday afternoon at Behnken Field House, despite a strong second-half push that cut the deficit to a single possession late. The Griffins trailed 37–28 at halftime before scoring 42 second-half points, but MSU Denver answered with timely baskets and free throws down the stretch.

Colin Hayes led Westminster with 17 points, going 6–14 from the field and 5–11 at the free-throw line, while adding 3 rebounds. Jonah El-Farra delivered an efficient night with 13 points on 5–6 shooting and pulled down 8 rebounds. Michael Fraizer finished with 12 points, hitting 3–10 from three, and Cole Kadoguchi added 9 points with 2 steals.

Westminster shot 40.7% (24–59) from the field and 31.8% (7–22) from beyond the arc, while forcing 12 MSU Denver turnovers. The Griffins generated 22 points in the paint and 11 second-chance points.

MSU Denver was paced by Quave Propst-Allison's 32 points on 11–15 shooting, along with 23 points from Logan Threatt, as the Roadrunners shot 47.4% from the field and went 20–24 at the free-throw line.

With the loss, Westminster moves to 6–4 overall and 1–3 in RMAC play and will look to rebound as conference action continues.
