Westminster went 1–1 during its crossover weekend in Monmouth, Oregon, rallying for a 76–68 win over Western Oregon on Friday before falling 79–70 to Simon Fraser on Saturday.
On Friday, the Griffins erased an eight-point halftime deficit by scoring 48 second-half points, led by Michael Fraizer's 18 points and 8 rebounds, Colin Hayes' 17 points, and Cole Kadoguchi's 16 points. Westminster shot 55.17% in the second half and earned 17 points off turnovers to close out the comeback.
Saturday's matchup saw Kadoguchi explode for 24 points, hitting 6–9 from three, while Hayes added 14 and Fraizer scored 8, but Simon Fraser's 14 made threes proved too much to overcome. The Griffins outscored SFU 43–33 in the second half but couldn't close the gap.
Westminster moves to 3–1 on the season.
