RAPID CITY, S.D. – Westminster volleyball earned a gritty road victory on Friday night, defeating South Dakota Mines 3–2 (25–19, 18–25, 25–23, 20–25, 15–11) inside the King Center. The win improved the Griffins to 16–9 overall and 8–5 in RMAC play.

Westminster posted 60 kills and hit .222 as a team, led by Josie Gerritsen's 12 kills on a .250 hitting percentage. Mailei Myers followed with 11 kills and a team-high six aces, while Sadie Parrish added eight kills. Hailey Killett contributed seven kills and hit an efficient .438, while Apiline White and Brooklyn Easton each added eight and nine kills, respectively.

Setter Leila Cornejo dished out 32 assists and added 14 digs for a double-double, and Atley Mitchell chipped in 18 assists. From the service line, Westminster totaled 14 aces, including six from Myers and three from Mary Fonoimoana.

Defensively, Ava Livolsi anchored the back row with 25 digs, followed by Cornejo (14) and Mitchell (12). At the net, Myers and Gerritsen combined for four blocks as the Griffins held the Hardrockers to a .308 hitting percentage in the match.

The Griffins will close out the regular season Saturday night on the road at Black Hills State.
