The Westminster University women's soccer team (6-2-5, 3-2-4 RMAC) fell 2–1 on the road to No. 8 Colorado School of Mines (10-2-2, 7-1-1 RMAC) on Saturday afternoon at Stermole Soccer Stadium.
The Griffins struck first in the 9th minute when Addie McCallister scored her third goal of the season, finishing a through ball from Sage Stott from 28 yards out into the near post. However, the Orediggers responded quickly with two goals from Bella Campos in the 17th and 40th minutes to take a 2–1 lead that held through the remainder of the match.
Westminster held a 14–10 advantage in total shots, including 5–5 in shots on goal. The Griffins also earned 7 corner kicks compared to 5 for Mines and committed just 5 fouls on the day.
In goal, freshman Marin MacKenzie finished with 3 saves while playing the full 90 minutes. Westminster's defense held Mines without a shot on goal in the second half but couldn't find an equalizer despite outshooting the Orediggers 9–1 after halftime.
