The Westminster University women's soccer team (5-1-5, 2-1-4 RMAC) capped off their weekend with a 3-0 victory over New Mexico Highlands (1-10-0, 0-7-0 RMAC) on Sunday afternoon at Cowgirl Field.
Emma Whiteley opened the scoring in the 43rd minute, finishing off an assist from Kim Hendrickson to put the Griffins ahead 1-0. Hendrickson then added a goal of her own in the 68th minute, assisted by Addie McCallister, to extend the lead. Westminster sealed the win late as Kaiao Zoller scored in the 88th minute with an assist from Gracie East.
The Griffins outshot the Cowgirls 15-4, with eight shots on goal, while limiting NMHU to just three saves. Westminster also earned three corner kicks to the Cowgirls' two.
Goalkeeper Marin MacKenzie made three saves in the shutout performance, marking her second consecutive clean sheet of the weekend. Following her efforts, MacKenzie was named the RMAC Goalkeeper of the Week for the third time this season.
