Salt Lake City, UT - Westminster University Men's Soccer is excited to welcome midfielder
Maximillion Edwards to the Griffins family. Edwards is a transfer from USC Upstate, where he played a key role as a freshman slotting into the team, recording action in nine matches, scoring one goal against Georgia State.
Prior to his USC Upstate days, Edwards attended Lincoln High School, where he was a 4-year starter on the varsity squad, leading the PIL conference with 18 goals his senior year in 2021. After graduating, he spent time playing in England for Burnley.
Max has earned numerous accolades, including PIL First Team in 2021 as well as making the Oregon's Best Midfielders list. He was also a two-time player of the month for the Burnley U19 team.
Coach Josh Pittman on Maximillion Edwards:
"Max is a player that we have had our eye on since his high school days with Lincoln (Portland, OR). His growth since those days combined with his time spent at Upstate has been instrumental in why we wanted him in our program. His incredible ability to get players involved and create goal scoring opportunities makes him a great fit for us. We believe he is ready to make a lasting and immediate impact here at Westminster."
