Griffins Strike Six Goals In Victory

Salt Lake City, UT – The Westminster Griffins Women's Soccer team showcased an impressive offensive display on Sunday afternoon, defeating New Mexico Highlands 6-0 on Dumke Field.

The scoring started just six minutes into the match with Chloe Pickett netting the first goal. Pickett struck again in the 75th minute, completing her game with two goals for the afternoon. Luka Biggs added the second goal in the 17th minute, quickly followed by Xevani Salanoa just a minute later. Kim Hendrickson contributed both as a playmaker and scorer, assisting on multiple goals and finding the back of the net herself in the 21st minute. By halftime, the Griffins held a commanding 4-0 lead.

Necie Gubler rounded out the scoring with a goal in the 82nd minute, bringing Westminster's tally to six. The Griffins outshot the Cowgirls 24-2, with 13 shots on goal. Goalkeeper Brooklyn Northcutt kept a clean sheet through the first half, while Brighton Jakeman and Rylee Cudney split duties in the second half to preserve the shutout.

The Griffins now head to Denver, CO, to face Regis University on Friday night. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM, and fans can catch all the action on the RMAC Network.
