Salt Lake City, UT - The Westminster Griffins delivered an overall team performance on Dumke Field, securing a commanding 12-7 victory over the CSU-Pueblo Thunderwolves.
From the outset, the Griffins started the game quickly on the offensive end, establishing a commanding six-goal lead early in the contest. Leading the charge in scoring was Shaina Shoughro, who showcased her offensive awareness with three goals. Contributions from Olivia Petrosky, Maddie Kelleher, and Jordan Williamson further bolstered Westminster's scoring efforts, with each player adding two goals to the team's tally.
Defensively, the Griffins were formidable, causing havoc for the Thunderwolves with a total of 22 turnovers. Marianna Dick led the defensive charge with four caused turnovers, while Madie Rogers, Sophia Fadler, and Maddie Kelleher each contributed three. Rogers also excelled in securing possession for the Griffins, leading the team with five draw controls, closely followed by Shoughro with two.
