Daytona Beach, Fla -  The Westminster Griffins Women's Lacrosse team kicked off their 2024 season with a challenging road game against the 11th-ranked Embry-Riddle Eagles in Daytona Beach, Florida with a final score of 23-3.

Hannah Kelleher opened the scoring for Westminster University, netting the team's first goal in the second quarter. Building on this momentum, Shaina Shoughro added two more goals to the Griffins' to add to the scoreboard.

Looking ahead, the Griffins will have to now prepare for their next game in the Sunshine State. On Sunday, they will face off against the formidable #10 Flagler College, with the first draw scheduled for 11:00 AM. With their sights set on redemption, the Griffins will aim to bounce back and make a statement in their quest for success this season.
