Salt Lake City, UT -  The Westminster Griffins Men's Basketball team faced a tough challenge as they hosted the 6th-ranked Colorado Mesa in Salt Lake City, UT. The first half saw an intense battle, with Colorado Mesa making a strong statement by shooting 24 three-pointers and converting eight of them to take a commanding 52-28 lead at halftime. Despite the deficit, Trey Wood showcased his scoring prowess for the Griffins, notching an impressive 17 points in the first half.

In the second half, the Mavericks continued their offensive performance, although they cooled down slightly from beyond the arc. However, the Griffins struggled to narrow the gap and ultimately fell short, with Colorado Mesa emerging victorious with a final score of 105-82.

Wood remained a standout performer for Westminster throughout the game, finishing with 25 points, while Rylan O'Brien contributed 22 points to the team's effort. Trevor Basin led the scoring for Colorado Mesa, delivering a game-high 31 points.
