Alamosa, CO - The Westminster Griffins Men's Soccer team secured a 2-1 victory over Adams State on Sunday afternoon, thanks to timely goals by Jack Cardwell and Deontae Ben. Cardwell set the tone early, scoring his fifth goal of the season just two minutes into the game, assisted by Cuauhtemoc Borjon. Although the Grizzlies managed to equalize late in the first half, Ben struck in the second half, with another assist from Borjon, to restore the Griffins' lead and helped capture the win.
Westminster recorded 17 shots, with 13 on target, compared to Adams State's 21 shots with 12 on target. Goalkeeper Tommy Manwaring had a standout performance, making 11 saves to keep the Griffins ahead.
