Burnaby, British Columbia – The Westminster Griffins Men's Basketball team pushed Simon Fraser University (B.C.) to double overtime on Saturday night but ultimately fell in a hard-fought battle, 99-94. Coming off a thrilling game-winner in their last matchup, the Griffins carried their momentum throughout the game but came up just short in the final moments.
Chase Potter continued his stellar season, leading the team with 30 points and grabbing seven rebounds in the loss. Donaval Avila contributed 14 points and dished out four assists, while Jack Jamele added 12 points, eight rebounds, and a block to the Griffins' effort. Despite the team's impressive performance, Simon Fraser's Irish Coquia led all scorers, helping the home team secure the win.
