Griffins Fall to Western Colorado In Five Sets

Salt Lake City, UT – The Westminster Griffins Volleyball team battled Western Colorado inside Behnken Field House on Friday night. Despite winning sets two and three, the Griffins ultimately fell in five sets. Claire Cook led the match with a game-high 18 kills, followed by Breegan Huntsman, who tallied 12 kills. Leila Cornejo recorded 27 assists, while Josie Gerritsen added 18. Alanna Lee anchored the defense with a game-high 23 digs.

The Griffins dropped the first set 26-24 but bounced back to claim the next two sets 25-14 and 25-21. Western Colorado, however, regained momentum to win the fourth set 25-23 and took the decisive fifth set 15-9.
