Salt Lake City, UT – On Sunday evening, the Westminster Griffins Men's Soccer team celebrated their six seniors—Fabrice Aitken, Cuauhtemoc Borjon, Lute Maja, Brennan Neeley, Landon Ward, and Roark Looney—in their final home game on Dumke Field. The Griffins took on UCCS in a tough RMAC showdown, ultimately falling 2-1 to the Mountain Lions.
UCCS opened the scoring with a late first-half goal, taking a 1-0 lead into halftime. In the second half, senior Landon Ward found the equalizer in the 67th minute, energizing the Griffins and their fans. However, UCCS responded with a decisive goal in the 74th minute to clinch the 2-1 victory.
With their home games for the 2024 season now complete, the Griffins will finish the season with three straight road matches, beginning with Fort Lewis College on Nov. 1. Fans can watch all the action live on the RMAC Network.
