On Saturday night, Trey Wood led the charge for the Westminster Griffins in a matchup against Chadron State College, contributing a game-high 24 points and two blocks. Despite Wood's impressive performance, the Griffins fell short with an 80-73 defeat. Pierce Sterling added 14 points, and Rylan O'Brien contributed 10 points to the team's efforts.

At halftime, the Griffins trailed by four points but showcased their three-point shooting skills with four successful shots (Chadron State had eight). Additionally, they outrebounded the home team on the glass. Despite these efforts, they couldn't secure the victory.
