Seattle, WA - The Westminster Griffins Women's Basketball team returned to the court after a Christmas break, facing a challenging matchup in Seattle against Seattle Pacific University on Friday night. Despite a commendable effort, the Griffins fell just short with a final score of 57-43.
Za'kkria Robinson led the Griffins in scoring with a team-high 11 points, displaying her offensive prowess. Jaycee Lochtie contributed 10 points and grabbed six rebounds, making her the second-highest scorer in double-digits for the Griffins.
The Griffins started strong with a commanding first-quarter lead of 20-7. However, Seattle Pacific University mounted a comeback in the second quarter, and a decisive 17-3 run in the third quarter by the home team proved insurmountable for the Griffins.
