Denver, CO - In the RMAC Volleyball quarterfinal, the eighth-seeded Westminster Griffins Volleyball team brought their A-game against the top-seeded MSU-Denver RoadRunners in the RMAC Tournament on Tuesday night. Despite a hard-fought effort, the Griffins succumbed to the RoadRunners in three closely contested sets.
Oliva Curtis emerged as a driving force for the Griffins, delivering a team-high 10 kills. Leila Cornejo showcased her playmaking skills with 15 assists, earning another team-high for Westminster University. The first set saw the Griffins face a tough challenge, falling 25-17. However, the team rallied in the second set, seizing an early lead and maintaining it until the score was knotted at 21-21. Despite their valiant efforts, they lost the set 25-23. The third and final set saw the RoadRunners clinching victory with a 25-12 score.
While the season concludes for Westminster, the RoadRunners advance to the next round to face South Dakota Mines in the RMAC Tournament.
