In a historic turn of events, the Westminster Griffins Volleyball team has secured a coveted spot in the RMAC Tournament for the first time in the program's history. The eighth-seeded Griffins are gearing up to face the top-seeded MSU-Denver Roadrunners in the quarterfinals on Tuesday evening, and excitement is running high.

Head Coach Sue Dulaney expressed pride in the team's resilience and commitment throughout the season, overcoming challenges such as injuries. "This team bought in from day one and continued to look forward even though we had a few setbacks. Going in as an 8th seed means you play the top seed, but this is a NEW season!" Head Coach Dulaney emphasized.

The Griffins are aware of the challenge ahead, considering MSU-Denver's strong tradition of success. Nevertheless, they draw inspiration from the Women's soccer team's recent upset victory in their conference tournament. The team believes in its growth and evolution since its last encounter with MSU-Denver on September 23.

Coach Dulaney outlined the keys to their success, noting that the groundwork for their tournament journey began last spring. "Keys to our success started last spring when collectively we proclaimed to each other that we will work to get into the 2023 conference tournament."

The tournament kicks off tomorrow night, with the first serve scheduled for 7:00 PM. Fans unable to attend in person can catch all the action on the RMAC Network (PPV), cheering on the Griffins as they aim to make more program history.
