Salt Lake City, UT - The highly anticipated 2023 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) Men's Soccer Tournament bracket was revealed on Sunday evening, with the Westminster Griffins (8-5-5, 5-2-3 RMAC) securing the No. 5 seed. Their journey into the tournament was highlighted by a thrilling 2-1 victory over Adams State, setting the stage for an exciting postseason.
The Westminster Griffins are now geared up for a showdown as they head to Colorado Springs to face off against the No. 4 seed, the UCCS (University of Colorado Colorado Springs) Mountain Lions. The match is scheduled for Thursday, November 2, with kickoff set for 6 p.m. at the majestic Mountain Lion Stadium. This encounter marks the third meeting between the Griffins and the Mountain Lions this year. The first clash saw the Mountain Lions edge the Griffins 2-1 on September 20 on Dumke Field. The second encounter on October 22 ended with Westminster narrowly losing 3-2 at Mountain Lion Stadium.
The winner of this thrilling face-off between the Mountain Lions and the Griffins will advance to the RMAC Semifinal round and travel to Durango, Colorado, to challenge the No. 1 seeded Fort Lewis Skyhawks.
