Griffins Survive over the Grizzlies on Senior Day

Salt Lake City, UT - In a thrilling match on senior day, the Westminster Griffins were able to secure a 2-1 victory. The game was marked by a crucial late penalty kick that had fans on the edge of their seats.

The Griffins got off to a strong start, with Zach Moss making his presence felt by netting two goals. The first came at the 29th-minute mark and the second at the 38th minute, giving the Griffins a well-deserved lead.

With just over 10 minutes left in the game, tension rose as a penalty was awarded to the opposing team. Starting goalkeeper Noah Larkin stepped up but was unfortunately injured in the process, paving the way for Roark Looney to take over.

As the penalty kick was taken, all eyes were on Looney. With a spectacular diving save, he denied the opposition, preserving the Griffins' lead and ultimately securing the victory.

Westminster's offensive efforts were evident, totaling 23 shots during the game, with an impressive 14 of those on target.

This win holds great significance as the Griffins now look forward to the RMAC Tournament, which is set to kick off next week. Fans can stay tuned to WestminsterGriffins.com for more updates and exciting soccer action.
