Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Griffins add another victory to the year defeating the ThunderWolves in Salt Lake City

Salt Lake City, UT - Madison Schmidt was the lone goal scorer in the second half that helped the Griffins win back-to-back games on Dumke Field in a 2-1 victory over the ThunderWolves as she was able sccore not once, but twice as Westminster improves to 2-0-1 in conference play.

It was a sunny Sunday afternoon and a perfect day for Soccer on Dumke Field as the Westminster Griffins and CSU- Pueblo ThunderWolves clashed in an RMAC game.

The first half was scoreless as the Griffins and ThunderWolves each couldn't find the net, but credit both of the team goalkeeprs who made some key stops in their area to keep the game scoreless after 45 minutes of action.

Schmidt, found a way to score two goals in the second half with Alexa Maple setting her up perfectly for her second goal of the game which were big plays for Westminster to continue their winning ways at home.

Despite a late goal with 1 minute to play Kelsey Cracroft had a great game as the starting goal keeper in the win at home.

UP NEXT : The Griffins hit the road for a Trip to Denver, CO on Regis Turf Field as they will take on Regis University on Sept. 30 at 7:00 P.M. MDT.
