Oklahoma City, OK - The new era of Women's Volleyball officially began in Oklahoma City today as the Griffins played their first of two games on the day and their first game of four for the weekend. The first challenge for the Griffins was the host team of the
Oklahoma Christian University Eagles who defeated the Griffins in three sets.
Lydia Miller and Oliva Curtis led the way with kills for Westminster, as each had 10 in the three sets and
Mailei Myers had six to fill out the top three.
The first set was a battle for the Griffins who fell 27-25, the second set was 25-20 and, in the final set, the Griffins kept it close as they were able to even up the score at 24-24 late in the set before falling 26-24.
Westminster led the way in seven aces in the three sets and they will look to bounce back quickly as they will turn their attention to
Southwest Baptist University later today.
