Utah State takes the exhibition game over Griffins

Logan, UT - It was Taylor Miller who dropped 26 points for the Westminster Griffins, but Utah saw a slower first start to the game but found a way to capture the victory at home 106-68 at Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.

The Griffins defeated SAGU American Indian College 77-54 at Behnken Field House in Salt Lake City on Wednesday night. 

Thursday night was the third and final exhibition game for the Griffins who played Utah Utes, BYU Cougars, and now the Utah State Aggies to cap off a tough preseason schedule. 


Utah State was led by Zee Hamoda who added six three-pointers on the night as they hit 27 total as a team on the night over Westminster.

Cole Kadoguchi hit two threes of his own for Westminster which added to his total of 12 points on the night and he added two of the 15 free-throws that the Griffins would make on the night in Logan.

The Griffins will host one more game before the Winter break begins on the campus of Westminster College, Saturday afternoon they take on Fort Lewis College with tip-off scheduled for 5:00 PM at Behnken Field House in Salt Lake City.
