Salt Lake City, UT - It was the first game of the new year for the Women's Basketball team on Friday night when they saw
Ashley Greenwood led the way with 23 points as
Lyndzi Rich added 15 and Margarita Satina had 14 as the three helped the Griffins edge
University of Arkansas Fort Smith 77-73 as the two teams will meet tomorrow night once again at 5:00 PM in Utah.
The Griffins were looking to complete the win in regulation but it was U of Arkansas Fort Smith who found a way to send the game into overtime with a key late game tying layup.
Greenwood hit some clutch free-throws down the stretch in overtime to help the Griffins secure their first win of the year as the two teams will matchup once again for another battle between the two programs.
