Salt Lake City, UT - The Griffins were looking to see back-to-back wins on their home as they welcomed the Skyhawks of Fort Lewis College on Saturday night inside the
Behnken Field House in a Rocky Mountain Athletic Showdown, but despite a tough effort in all four sets as Fort Lewis squeaks by the Griffins in a very back and forth type of game.
The first set starting the night off and it was a fantastic way to start the evening at Westminster College. The first set came to a close with a score of 31-29 in favor of Fort Lewis as the Griffins were so close to capturing set one. Set two the Skyhawks had the lead and the Griffins tied it up late in the set, but Westminster couldn't take the lead as they fell 25-19.
The third set was the Griffins time to shine as they were able to secure the 25-23 set, but that was the only set the were able to get as the Skyhawks got the match win in set four 25-22.
UP NEXT: The Griffins hit the road for a trip to South Dakota with a matchup with South Dakota Mines on Oct. 7 at King Center.
