SALT LAKE CITY - Westminster men's soccer (2-4) will begin its final week of non-conference matches with a midweek match against 16th-ranked Colorado Mesa (5-1) on Wednesday night beginning at 7 p.m. at Dumke Field.

- Westminster split its two non-conference matches last week at the MSU Classic in Wichita Falls, Texas.
- The Griffins suffered a 3-0 loss at the hands of 18th-ranked Midwestern State University before rebounding with a 2-0 win over Texas A&M International.
- Armin Hasanovic scored his first goal of the season to put Westminster ahead, 1-0, in the first half against Texas A&M International.
- Luis Martinez scored his first goal of the year late against TAMI to help the Griffins secure the 2-0 win this past Saturday.
- Ian Rose and Noah Larkin have both split time in the Griffins' net so far this season each earning one shutout to this point. Larkin had four saves last Saturday to secure his first clean sheet of the season vs TAMI.
About the Mavericks:
- The Mavericks were ranked No. 16 in this week's USCAÂ Top-25 and third in the South Central Region.
- Wednesdays road match will cap a five-match road stretch for CMU and is 5-1 overall to start the season.
- The Mavericks blanked 19th-ranked Simon Fraser, 5-0, last Thursday night on the road.
- CMU lost its first match of the season last Saturday, falling 2-1 to 25th-ranked Fort Hays State.
- CMU's Alec Fronapfel and Chris Boyd are tied for the team lead with three goals on the season while defender Ethan Anderson found the net twice last weekend vs. Simon Frsaer.
- Connor Durant has posted three shutouts for the Mavericks in goal and has started the season 5-0 overall.
