SALT LAKE CITY – Winners of five straight, Westminster men's basketball will play two road games this weekend at Colorado Mesa on Friday, Feb. 7, and at Western on Saturday, Feb. 8.
The Griffins are currently tied with three other teams for fourth place in the RMAC standings with a 9-6 record in conference, 14-7 overall. Westminster's five-game winning streak is its longest of the season.
Brandon Warr leads the Griffins in scoring and rebounding at 16.2 points and 8.7 boards per game.
Jake Connor is pitching in 12.2 points per game, and
Alec Monson is filling up the stat sheet with 12 points, 5.7 rebounds and a team-leading 3.4 assists per game.
Colorado Mesa won its last game, beating Colorado Christian by 20 to snap a three-game losing streak. The Mavericks (13-8, 9-6 RMAC) lost to the Griffins just two weeks ago in Salt Lake City. Colorado Mesa is led by Tommy Nuno's 15.3 points, 6 rebounds and 4.3 assists.
Western (8-13, 5-10 RMAC) also lost to Westminster in Salt Lake City two weeks ago. Josh Tomasi leads the Mountaineers with 14.3 points and 6.8 rebounds per game.
Both games are set to tip at 7:30 p.m. MT and will be streamed live on the
RMAC Network.
