Jake Connor scored 23 points and
Brandon Warr added 20 as Westminster men's basketball beat Fort Lewis, 91-85, on Saturday night at Whalen Gymnasium.
The Griffins(14-7, 9-6 RMAC) used a 14-3 run to open up a 12-point lead early in the first half and took an eight-point advantage into halftime.
The Skyhawks never got closer than four in the second half, with the Griffins stretching the lead to as large as 15.
The victory was Westminster's fifth straight, the Griffins' longest winning streak of the season.
Warr recorded a double-double, adding 12 rebounds to his 20 points. Connor grabbed five rebounds and recorded two steals.
Jai Jai Ely finished with 18 points and five assists,
Alec Monson had 11 points, seven rebounds and four assists.
Joonas Tahvanainen scored 10 points.
The Griffins play two more road games next week, facing first-place Colorado Mesa on Friday, Feb. 7 and third-place Western Colorado on Saturday, Feb. 8.
