SALT LAKE CITY - Westminster women's volleyball (3-13, 0-8 RMAC) lost in four sets to Colorado Mines (13-3, 6-2 RMAC) on Friday night at Behnken Field House.
"They are a tough team," Wesminster head coach
Karrin Moore said. "When we communicated and moved well, we did some really nice things. We're making gains and little improvements with every match, and I think that we were battling and competitive with such a great team was really good for us."
The Griffins won the second set 25-19 behind seven kills from junior outside hittier
Audrey Green, who finished with 15 kills in the match. Green led a 9-3 run that turned an 11-10 lead into an 18-12 advantage, and the Griffins held control from that point on.Â
Green's 15 kills were a match high, and
Lydia Miller added 11 to join Green in double digits.Â
Westminster outblocked Colorado Mines 6-2, led by three each from
Sydnee Simmons and
Maggie Sala.
The Griffins return to action on Saturday, October 11 at 4 p.m. hosting the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. The match will be streamed live on the
