FOREST GROVE, Ore.—The Westminster women's lacrosse team is 1-1, in non-conference games, after finishing its road trip with a convincing win over Pacific University.
Westminster set the tone early, scoring five goals within the first 10 minutes. The Griffins only allowed two goals on their way to a 12-2 halftime lead.
The second half started as quickly as the first. Ingman scored her fifth goal in the third minute and followed up with three more to put the Griffins in the lead, 16-3, with 15:30 remaining.
Katie Adams scored the final goal of the game as the Griffins won by a 17-4 margin.
The Griffins dominated play with 30 shots on goal to the 10 from the home side. The Griffins won 13 draw controls, 14 ground balls and successfully completed 14-15 clearances.
Ingman led the Westminster offense with eight goals. Adams netted four goals and
Brenlee Fordham scored twice and tallied an assist.
Hanah Webster and Adams each collected three ground balls. Taylor Heckking faced eight shots and made five saves.
Westminster hosts Colorado Mesa in a conference and home opener on March 3. The game is scheduled to face-off at 11:30 a.m. The game will be broadcast on the RMAC Network and available on live stats.
