Box Score SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster men's soccer team fell short with a 1-0 loss against Northwest Nazarene in a non-conference game at Dumke Field.
 
Jonathan Gurdado of NNU scored at the 17th minute of the first-half off an assist from Edwin Quirzo.
 
The Griffins had a ten to nine edge with shots on goals and four to two on corner kicks.  
 
Neither team was able to score in the second half in a highly competitive contest. Jaden Olsen finished the contest with three shots on goal, followed by Alec Marshall and Danny Darelli each with two. 
 
Max Medley takes the loss in goal for the Griffins with 1 attempt and 4 saves.
 
Westminster returns to action next Friday and Sunday on their first road trip of the season to Hayward, CA for two games verse Notre Dame DeNamur and Cal-State Eastbay.
