Box Score SALT LAKE CITY – Colorado Mesa (8-2 and 2-0) defeated the Griffins 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 25-19) in their conference home opener Friday evening.

Westminster totaled 31 kills hitting .147, while the visitors from Grand Junction, Colorado scored 40 kills hitting .191.  Westminster tallied 51 digs, two aces and six blocks in the defeat. 

Audrey Green had 15 kills and eight digs and Amara Spere added four kills.  Taylor Gustafson provided 16 assists and Megan Gallegos finished with two service aces and 14 digs in the loss.  

The Griffins stand at 3-6 overall and 0-1 in the RMAC standings.  They return to action tomorrow as they host Western State Colorado in a 4 p.m. conference match in the Behnken Fieldhouse.  The action will be streamed live on the RMAC Network and available through live stats.  Tickets can be purchased in advance online or day of the match one-hour prior to start time at patron entrance.
