Box Score SALT LAKE CITY – The Westminster men's soccer team was defeated 4-3 by Regis (3-0 overall and 1-0 RMAC) Friday afternoon in their conference opener at Dumke Field.  The loss puts the Griffins at 4-3 on the season and 0-1 in the RMAC standings.
 
The visitors from Denver, Colorado would score first at the 4:18 mark off a Will Eslinger header, assisted by Jacob Lever.  Eslinger would get his second goal of the day at the 25th minute unassisted.

The Griffins would strike back as Brigham Jackson scored off an assist from Cristian Alfaro at 30:24 to put the score at 2-1.  Westminster would even the score 2-2 as Cristian Alfaro put one past the keeper from a Jaden Olsen assist at the 52nd mark.

Regis would go up 3-2 off a penalty kick at 53:58 and than 4-2 off a second penalty kick at the 64th minute.  Amit Hefer would score his first of the season and the third and final goal for the Griffins at 89:14 off a penalty kick to close the scoring gap 4-3 before time expired resulting in a 4-3 final.  
 
Both teams ended up with 12 shots on goal and two corner kicks a piece.  Westminster had 25 fouls and Max Medley took the loss in the box with seven saves.
